Capt. Calvin W. Tinsley III, age 68, retired Delta Airline pilot (35 years), died suddenly with his wife at his side on February 20, 2013.

He was born in Miami, FL and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and attended Ole Miss. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Cal was an avid golfer, classic car enthusiast, loved life to the fullest, always a friend to everyone he met, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Melinda and children Morgan and Curtis; former spouse Bonnie, children Ryan (Shannon) and Brooke; grandchildren, Hunter and Hogan; sister, Pat (Dave); and brother, Tommy (Pam); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church on Monday, February 25th at 10:00 am.
