Charles Richard (Dick) Gardner, also lovingly known as "Bubba", passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at his home in Palm Bay, Florida.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Gardner, his sisters, Patricia Phillips and DeeDee Hearndon, all of Palm Bay, FL. Also, he is survived by his half sister, Denise Evans of Merritt Island, FL. His children include his son Dalton Gardner and wife, Sonya Gardner of Palm Bay, FL, his daughter Jessica Gardner of Malabar, FL and his daughter Haley Gardner of Palm Bay, FL. His grandchildren include Devon Gardner, Nevaeh Mannier, Nicholas Hunt, and Serenity Gardner.

Charles served in the Army in 1976 in the 503D INF 101st ABN DIV. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years and well loved by all that worked beside him. He was a living on the edge, die hard Florida Gator fan!

He was a loving, caring and free spirited soul and touched the hearts of those who knew him. He was also a loving son, a wonderful brother, an amazing father and a nourishing grandfather that will be missed dearly.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909, (321) 727-3977. Casual dress and Florida Gator attire encouraged! The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life, at 1375 San Filippo Dr., Palm Bay, FL 32909.
