Dorothy Novesky, 95, of Merritt Island, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2014. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 29, 1918. Dorothy was an active volunteer and is a recipient of the President's Award for Volunteerism. She served with the Central Brevard Humane Society, Cape Canaveral Hospital and at Divine Mercy Catholic Church Bingo.
She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Wyles and Patricia Stuebgen, her brother Richard Uhlman, three grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael and Dana, seven great-grandchildren, two nieces and her Chihuahua Tinker Bell.
There will be a visitation from 6-8pm on Friday, January 17 at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 1pm on Saturday, January 18 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.
