John C. Dunn, DVM, 82, of Mims, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. He was born March 29, 1930, in Lasca, Alabama, to the late Gena and John T. Dunn, Sr.
For over 30 years, Dr. Dunn operated Dunn Animal Hospital in Titusville. He was a member of the Indian River Masonic Lodge #90, North Brevard Shrine Club "Hillbilly's", Sertoma Club of Titusville, Florida Veterinary Medicine Association and Park Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Dunn; four children, Ashleigh Ruggles (Todd), Mark Dunn, Allison Carver (John), Amanda Coffy (Martin); five grandchildren, Erica, Lesley, Jonathan, Haleigh and Martin; four sisters, Maree Chapman, Jessie Stringer (Winston), Goldia Hart (Jim) and Rose Esther Crenshaw; and one brother, David Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Park Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Lord officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of North Brevard, PO Box 5513, Titusville, FL 32783 or the Auburn University Alumni Association, 317 South College St., Auburn, AL 36849.
