Joseph Rozycki Obituary


Joseph J. Rozycki, 59, of Titusville, died at his home on May 31, 2011. Joe was born in West Hartford, CT, the son of Stanley M. and Hedwig R. (Grala) Rozycki and had lived in Naugatuck, CT for most of his life.

He owned and operated his own businesses in both retail and wholesale for over 30 years. His hobbies were photography, tractors, Ham radio and racing.

He leaves behind his aunt, Joan Cepek of Easthampton, MA; his uncle, Eugene Grala, Sr. of New Britain, CT; many cousins; his close friends, Michael Fontana and his wife, Maureen, John Jensen and his wife, Joan, all who will remember him for his quick wit and sense of humor. He also leaves his dog, Max.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 10 am from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck to St. Hedwig Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9-10 am.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
