Joshua Eiting Obituary

Joshua James Eiting, 41, passed away at his home in Melbourne Beach, FL, on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Born September 10, 1969, he is survived by parents, James and Esther (Stucke) Eiting, of Versailles, OH.

Josh married Shirley (Bigham) Roll Eiting on August 9, 2002. Josh is also survived by step-children, Jason and Nikki Roll, Katie and Nick Ellis, Maggie and Brian Knapke of Versailles, OH, Jacob Roll of Cincinnati, OH, and eight grandchildren. Siblings are Anne and Rob Klamar, Mitch and Ann Eiting of Versailles, OH, and Polly and Tim Grow of Minster, OH.

Josh graduated from Versailles High School in 1988 and attended the University of Dayton. Josh also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. His passion for aviation led him to the presidency of the Air America Foundation that restores historical military aircraft and he was a member of the Valiant Air Command Museum. Josh was a member of the Melbourne Beach Rotary Club in which he received the highest honor, a Paul Harris Fellow. To continue his service as a Rotarian he was in volved with medical mission trips to Uganda, Africa through his club. He and his wife Shirley have lived in Melbourne Beach since 2005.

A celebration of Josh's life will occur at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 2 - 6 pm with prayer services at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers friends may make memorial contributions to the Air America Foundation.
