Louann Williams Walters, age 67, long time resident of Melbourne, Florida, was called home to Jesus on Saturday, August 4, 2012, after a long - courageous fight with Breast Cancer. Born in Dayton, Ohio and raised in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Louann moved to Melbourne in 1977.
She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Walters; her son, Kevin Walters; her father, Elder Odes Williams; and one brother, Odes Williams, Jr. Her survivors include her daughter, Patsy (Quang) Nguyen; granddaughters, Holly (Brian) Nickerson, Brandy Slider, Brittani Nguyen, Cheyenne Holem; grandson, Curtis Nguyen; one great grandson, Clay Slider; her mother, Virginia Hope Williams; two sisters, Joyce (Uris) Lockhart and Elaine Alfrey; two brothers, David (Fay) Williams and Darryl Williams. As well as many extended family members.
Louann always put others before herself. She had a heart of gold and a smile that could brighten a room. She touched the lives of all she met.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 10th from 5 pm to 8 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne. Services at 2 pm on Saturday, August 11th, at Old Regular Baptist Church, Brandywine Road, Melbourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in her memory, to the MIMA Foundation, 1130-B Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901.
