When Major Brown sang in church, you could tell that he felt every word in his heart. We know he is in a better place, and pray for his family because we also know he is sorely missed.

What do you say about someone that has always kept a smile on their face no matter the situation or circumstance and have always given you great advice to follow?I can only believe that God needed one of his most valuable angels in heaven to hold a great debate with the other angels. Thank you for always being a true friend. You will always be "Major Brown" to me and you will be greatly missed!

We were enriched in knowing 'Mr. Brown' at New Life Christian Fellowship. His style, fantastic voice and presence was insprirational. Though we often sat together in church, we regret that we did not take the opportunity to know him on a more personal level. We could tell that he was a special person and a good person.

God needed a special angel. My prayers are with the Brown family, as I knew Michael for years through the brevard county jail as an officer. He did many wonderful things and he also spoke highly of his family. I will miss him.

Major Brown always had a kind word of encouragement when things in my world were looking dismal. He listened, he mentored, he cared. The smile in his eyes, bounce in his step and quick wit made those around him have a better day. Mike Brown is someone I look forward to seeing on the other side. Laura F. Stevenson-Corrections Tech. Mike,
You will be greatly missed. Thank you for all of the good times, the laughs, the debates, the guidance and the advice that you so freely gave. I enjoyed all of the years that I got to work for you and with you, I learned a lot from you. You were not only my supervisor but you were also my friend. May you rest in paradise.

I was honored to serve with brother Mike for five years at the Brevard County Detention Center. His kind and considerate Christian manner made him well liked by his fellow officers, the inmates, and the public. I never saw inmate or officer morale higher than when the jail was under his direction and influence. He was an exemplary person in good times and in times of trouble, maintaining his Christian witness. Moreover, Mike was a friend of Christ and of the Good News Jail & Prison Ministry, serving as a president's council member and promoting Christ through his efforts. He made a vast difference in all the lives he touched. I am one such person who is honored to have called him friend and brother. Heaven rejoiced in Mike's arrival. I am certain he heard, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

Sincerely,
Dr. Douglas Pruiett

What can you say to someone who made working in our field a little easier! Mike made it entertaining at times when things looked so glum and was able to belt out some great songs with his beautiful voice. I hate that you were taken away so soon, but we all know you will be another angel looking over us. Noone can match your style and it will all be greatly missed. God Bless your family in their time of need.

I remember Mike as a Jailer at the old jail. Then we moved into what we call the new jail. Mike was a fun loving person who loved to talk alot about life and his family & just to talk. As the years went on he moved up in his career as Cpl. all the way to Commander. Mike was my Supervisor many times thru out my career. Mike married Brian & I twenty yrs ago. Mike was always there for us whenever we needed him. Lord you may have work for him to do up there but, He will be greatly missed by all here!! Our deepest condolences to the Brown Family Brian & Donna

To Brown Family, your loss is felt by so many, and I just want to let you know that Mike will be missed. He was like a mentor when I first started Corrections almost 25 years ago. He made me laugh, shared my joy of my daughter Rachel, and was a unique individual. There are so many memories, too many to mention, but know he left a mark in my life. God bless your family at this time. Sgt E.J. Glaab (Jail Complex family).

This news has shocked me deeply. I knew Mike over 30 years. We worked together at the prison and the Sheriff's Office. So many bible discussions. So many memories. Birdette, family, I pray God's love and strength during this time. I trust we will see him again. I loved him and was blessed to have known him. My love to all the family.
