Mildred "Mimi" Cosper Bolon, 91, died October 3, 2012, while living in Portland, Oregon. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved to Melbourne in 1958, where she lived until moving to be with family in Oregon in 2006.
She attended Montevallo University in Alabama, and was a homemaker and school secretary, having worked at the former Southwest Junior High School in Palm Bay during the 1960s.
She regularly attended Central Baptist Church in Melbourne. Also, she was a member of the Navy Officer's Wives Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a regular volunteer at the Brevard Senior Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Leslie Wagle of Greensboro, NC; and son, Carl Bolon of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Sean Wagle of Charlotte, NC, Annika Bolon of Portland, OR, and Corinna Bolon of Otaru, Japan; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Cdr. Leslie Bolon, USN.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
Internment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
