Paul K. Burdine
Paul K. Burdine, 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on August 21, 2013. He was born in Lincoln Co., KY, on May 4, 1931 and was a founding member of Park Ave. Baptist Church.
Paul served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954 and married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Johns, in 1952.
After the Navy, Paul received his EE degree from University of Miami, with honors. He brought his family to Titusville in 1963 to take a job at NASA.
Paul was a member of the USA Track and Field, working as an Official at many events across the country, including the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He was also selected as an International Technical Official working events around the globe.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond and Ada Burdine; his sister, Minnie Mae Rublacava; his brother, William Burdine; and granddaughter, Faith Burdine.
Paul will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Marilyn Johns Burdine; children: Rory Burdine, Ken Burdine (Paula), Greg Burdine (Terri), and Joy Hornsby (Rick), along with eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held at North Brevard Funeral Home, 1450 Norwood Ave., Titusville, FL 32796 on August 26, 2013, from 5-7:00pm. Celebration of Life, Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 11:00am at Park Ave. Baptist Church, 2600 Park Ave., Titusville, FL 32780.
