We are very saddened to hear about Mr. Roth. He was a dear friend of my father's at Cocoa High School. They were friends for years. Mr. Roth was our school administrator for all my years in high school. We respected him greatly. He did a great job. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Thanks, Elaine Merritt, class of 1966 CHS

Mr Roth was principle at HCA when I was a child in the mid 1970's. I recall him giving me a ride home from school one day, I think I was sick. That would never happen in this day and age. I can remember him quizzing me on which way to turn asking if it was a right or left hand turn. That was roughly forty years ago and I still remember it. It's safe to say he made an impact on me. Rip Mr Roth and God bless your family.

Mr. Roth.... I talked to you at Viera Manor the week before you passed away. You didn't know me but you smiled when I told you who I was and talked about Cocoa High and your eyes lit up. Thank you for your commitment to students all those years. You will be missed. Paula (Dunn) Ashton Cocoa HighClass of '68...

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Bob Roth is and will always be one of my heroes. I was in the class of 1960 at Cocoa High. Among his many duties as Vice Principal, Mr. Roth was also a guidance counselor. For whatever reason, he called me into his office one day midway in the fall term of my senior year to ask about my college plans. He suggested that I should think about the Coast Guard Academy, only a test and interview--no congressional appointments. The application deadline was fast approaching and he kept encouraging me. I applied, did well on the test and interview, received an appointment, and graduated four years later. I had a great 20 year career in the Coast Guard. Bob Roth literally changed my life, with a great outcome. I am forever grateful. The lesson that I learned from him is to take the time to step out and provide some advice and guidance to folks who need it. Thank you Mr. Roth. I am in your debt forever.

God bless you, dear Mr. Roth. I remember well you and your family, and babysitting for your sons so many years ago. I always felt linked to your family from ours from our times together in Rockledge, the Jones on Orange Avenue, and in Cocoa High School. I also worked as one of your faculty when you were Principal at Anderson Elementary. May you rest in peace and condolences to your family. You loved your family and served your community well. Rest in peace, Mr. Roth. My prayers for comfort to your family and friends. My fondest memory is when I had to go to bat with you about keeping the Senior Class Play going on amidst the teacher strike. That is the only discussion I recall that I 'won'. :) I am grateful for the years at CHS during which you and I had many good discussions. I learned so much from you... not so much about academics... but, about living, and living well. I am glad we got to see each other and that I met your lovely wife at Mosquito Beaters a few years ago. There is a hole in our world now that only you could fill. You will be missed.
