Walter (Walt) Albert Lambert, longtime resident of Eau Gallie, Florida, passed away on July 9. He was born on April 2, 1934 in Ferndale, Michigan.

Walt retired from BellSouth and previously spent decades at Kennedy Space Center, where he worked as a technician during the early beginnings of the space program. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as an avionics specialist during the Korean War.

Throughout the years, Walt volunteered with an open heart as a dedicated Little League coach, Sunday school teacher, civic helper, and always lent a serving hand to family and friends when needed. He was also a member of American Legion Post 163.

Walt is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria (Mary) S. Lambert; his sons, Mark (Jan) Lambert of Satellite Beach, FL, Karl Lambert of Eau Gallie, FL; and his daughter, Kileen (Darren) Knight of Melbourne, FL. He also left behind seven adoring grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory can be made to Boy Scout Troop 309, Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, 450 Lee Ave., Satellite Beach, FL 32937.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
