Bill Kearney, of Rockledge, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2012. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan. Bill worked for the Detroit Police Department and also as a security specialist at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. He was also a licensed optician.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Kearney, of 48 years; his children, Bill (Julie), Dan (Greg), Julie (David) Barrington; brother, Leo (Jo) Kearney; grandchildren, Kate, Kelly, Krissy Kearney, Kyle and Ryan Barrington; sisters-in-law, Paula Baumgart and Verle and Marge Eggleston; and loved by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Lademer, and his brothers-in-law Walt Baumgart, and Jack and Bill Shook.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Florida Memorial Funeral Home in Rockledge. Calling hours will also be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 10 am to 11 am with a Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockledge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School, 1152 Seminole Drive Rockledge, FL 32955.
