Ron Young, 73, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. A graduate of the University of Florida, College of Engineering Class of 1962, he was employed by Intersil Corporation prior to his retirement. Active in the Aerospace and Electronics industry for almost forty years, he was the recipient of sixty five patents.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Diane; his two daughters, Karol Young, Apopka and Kimberly Mitchell (Richard) of Ocala. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Jason Mitchell (Kat) Ocala, and Jessica Mitchell, Ocala; four great grandchildren, Nevaeh , Zayne, and Tyler Mitchell and Trina Sampson; brother-in-law, Kip R Hartman (Judy) Silver Spring, Maryland; also survived by nephews, Ian Hartman (May), Adam Hartman, Silver Spring, Bill (Suzanne), John and Jeff Wishard, Bradenton; and numerous cousins.
Memorial calling: Friday, August 16, 5-8PM at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne.
Celebration of Life Service: August 17, 2PM Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Melbourne.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the University of Florida, College of Engineering, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund or Citrus Council of Girl Scouts, Orlando.
