Ginny (Hayes) Katz

Indialantic, FL

Ginny, 83, daughter of Timothy & Esther Hayes, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2014. Born in Boston, MA on August 28, 1930, she came to Brevard Co. in 2000 after residing in Smithtown, L.I. for 30+ years.

Survived by loving husband of 60 years, Marvin, and her children Howard (Anna), Ted, Melanie Doty (Jeff), and Barbra Hurwitz (Steven). Grandmother of Sierra, Felicia, Zack, Stacey and Jason; great grandmother of Madison, Xavier, and Bella; sister of Vincent, Mary (Paglia), Timothy, Catherine (Riggi), and Joseph; and cherished aunt of "The Cousins". Preceded in death by granddaughter K.C.

Wake on Tuesday, March 11 from 5-8pm at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home.

Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 12 at 10:30am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Ginny was also known as Dr. Doolittle to animals of all kinds. As such, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to your local humane society in honor of Ginny Katz.

Ginny Katz was one-of-a-kind and will be terribly missed.
