Bennie Ray Poston

Melbourne, FL

Bennie Ray Poston, born January 16, 1921 in Drumwright, OK, passed away on March 21, 2014 in Melbourne, FL.

He is survived by three children; Linda (David) Tincher, of Satellite Beach, FL, Lisa Susan Poston of Beavercreek, OH and Ben II (Rhonda) Poston of Huntington Beach, CA; brother, Gene (Carol) Poston of Xenia, OH; sister in laws, Mabel Poston of Beavercreek, OH and Jackie Poston of Satellite Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey, Alex and Sarah; two great grandchildren, Dillon Ray and Jeffrey; numerous loving nieces and nephews and also, the wonderful friends he made throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine; parents Ernest and Susan; sister Rose (Jack) Masters; brothers Bob, Chuck, Paul and Roy.

Ray was a very proud WWII veteran. He served in the Pacific Theater with the 323 Trns BN 91 Infantry Div. Ray was awarded the Combat infantryman's badge, Theater ribbon with two bronze battle stars, and the Philippines liberation ribbon with one bronze start, GCM.

In loving memory of a wonderful prideful man.

A graveside service is scheduled for Friday March 28, 2014, at 11:00AM at the Florida National Cemetery.
