Mr. Robert E. (Bob) Bommele, 84, died April 23, 2014 at Sterling House in West Melbourne.

He was born in Rochester, New York and lived in Barefoot Bay for 16 years coming from Webster, NY.

Bob was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was an electrician with the Rochester Gas and Electric Company for 42 years before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay, FL. VFW Post #10210, Sebastian, FL, Disabled American Veterans, Lion's Club, Sebastian and Barefoot Bay Citizens Patrol.

Survivors include son, Gary Lergner (Jan VanFossen) of Vass, North Carolina; daughters, Ethel MacCormack (Ford) of Newport News, Virginia and Connie Campisi Hogan (Michael) of Webster, New York; daughter-in-law, Lynne Bommele of Raeford, North Carolina; son-in-law, Ken Clark of St Louis, Missouri; granddaughters, Kathleen McCormack of Newport News, Virginia, Sara Klein (Brent Sheridan) of Saugatuck, Michigan and Emily Gold (Daniel) of St. Louis, Missouri; grandsons, Micky and Matthew Campisi of Webster, New York, Scott Clark (Jillian) of Los Angeles, California and Christopher Clark (Mandi) of St Louis, Missouri and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; son, Robert Bommele and daughter, Gail Lergner Clark.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday May 1, 2014 St. Luke Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay, FL.

Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian.
