Helen Rigby Borum

Helen Rigby Borum, 85, a native of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 29, 2014, in West Melbourne.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina Greensboro, she served as an assistant to General Guy Meloy at the Pentagon, as an elementary school teacher in Annapolis, Maryland, and Gulfport, Mississippi, and later as a stay-at-home mother active in Girl Scouts, her church, and community. A member of the New Neighbor's Club of the South Brevard Beaches for almost 20 years, she was responsible for the preparation and mailing of the monthly newsletter. Helen was a good friend to many and was always available to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rod; son, Richard; daughter, Sarah (Walter) Honaman; three grandchildren: Carl William, Chandler, and Stephanie, and a sister, Jeanne Meyers.
Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne where a memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, May 10, at 2pm. An additional service will be held at Buena Vida Estates in West Melbourne on May 17, at 2:00 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the local
