Louella "Lulu" F. Ellis

Louella F. Ellis, 91, passed away on April 24, 2014, peacefully at The Palms Nursing Home, Palm Bay. She had been a resident there for the past 11 years, where she was treated with dignity and love from a compassionate Alzheimer's staff.
Born on May 23, 1922 in Long Branch, NJ, she was a graduate of Long Branch High School. She retired in 1986 to Sunnyland Beach, in Melbourne Beach after 25 years as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone. She was active in the Pioneers during her retirement years.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family, which includes her devoted husband of 42 years, Warren J. Ellis; daughters, Diane J. Mattson (Roy); Mary Lou Rubino; son, William H. Pierce (Christy); six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law Daisy Plancey and Vivian McDonald (Ed). She is predeceased by her mother, Mary E. Fleming; father, Edward Fleming; and first husband, William E. Pierce.
A celebration of life memorial service for Louella will be held on her birthday, Friday, May 23, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne, 724-2222.
