Neal F. Ridenour

Palm Bay, FL

Neal F. Ridenour, 60, of Palm Bay, died Monday, May 19, 2014. Born in Loudon, TN, he came to Brevard in 1955 and was a retired Plant Manager with Bradshaw Group in Melbourne. He participated within many organizations including as President of the Palm Bay Bass Masters, Vice President of the Brevard County Airboat Association, member of the St. Johns Basin Adversary Committee for the St. Johns Water Management District. Namesake of the Neal Ridenour annual river cleanup sponsored by Keep Brevard Beautiful and the Airboat Association. He also received the Keep Brevard Beautiful sustainability award for his work in removing hundreds of tons of trash from the St. Johns River.

Survivors include his son, Dusty (Kellie) Ridenour; daughter, Delta Ridenour; four grandchildren; brothers, Gene (Mary), Glynn (Peggy) and Gregory (Wendy) Ridenour; predeceased by daughter, Trixy Love Ridenour.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2014, from 12:00-1:00PM with a service to follow at 1:00PM at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home.
