Dixie Brown Thompson

Dixie Thompson, 93, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Dixie was born on July 18, 1920. She was one of six daughters born to O.D. and Angella Brown of Ireland, WV. After spending 30 years in Akron, OH, she and her late husband Henry (Tom) Thompson, moved to Brevard County in 1969. They loved going to flea markets and garage sales. Tom was the tool and gun man and Dixie was the doll and glassware lady. She avidly worked crossword puzzles and loved to eat at Corky Bells.

She is survived by her two sons, Earl O. Randall (Colleen) of Salt Lake City, UT and Ronald Jack Randall (Claudia) of Rockledge, formally from Cuyahoga Falls, OH. She was a grandmother of six and great grandmother of nine. She also leaves two sisters, Jean Bruffey of Walkersville, WV and Joan Hudson of Inverness, FL; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death

by her granddaughter, Angela Nichole Randall.

Dixie was laid to rest with a private service at The Life Event Center and Florida Memorial on June 5, 2014.
