Anne Karanovich Spudich

1924 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Anne Spudich

Port St. John, FL

Anne Karanovich Spudich, 90, died on Monday, August 18, 2014 leaving a world where "everything was so tasty".

Born on April 15, 1924 in Duquesne, PA to Milos and Helen (Radakovich) Karanovich, she lived in West Mifflin, PA with her late husband, Andrew, until their retirement to Port St. John, FL nearly 40 years ago. She was eldest sister to Mildred Kresovich, David Karanovich, and Dorothy Vignovic, all deceased. Annie was a valued secretary at Carnegie Mellon University, the Mellon Institute of Science, and Westinghouse Corporate Headquarters in Pittsburgh. An accomplished artist in acrylics on canvas and Jell-O on the dessert plate, Annie was a talented seamstress/tailor, knitter, singer and enthusiastic traveler, first with Andrew on numerous camping trips throughout the US then, after his death in 1990, internationally with her children and with the Brevard Chorale.

She is survived by her children, Paul Spudich of San Francisco and Suzanne Steidl, formerly of Pittsburgh and now living in Port St. John. Annie's family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Wuesthoff Hospice North Team for their ever generous and thoughtful care and for the 24-hour-a -day loving kindness of the staff at her final home on earth, Melodie's Place on the River, Merritt Island. Arrangements by Funeral Solutions, Cocoa.
