Titusville, FL

Mickey D. Kornegay, of Titusville, passed away peacefully and joined his forever loved granddaughter, Gretchen Kornegay, Friday morning, August 29, 2014, with loving wife, daughter, and son-in-law by his side. He was born in Clinton, NC to David and Peggy Kornegay. Mickey served in the U.S. Navy. He was a founding member of Gateway Masonic Lodge #384 and Azan Shrine Temple.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, Yavonne Factor (A.J.); grandchildren, Chandler, Trevor, and Sierra; sisters, Joy Morgan and Susan Trexler (Randy); brother, David Kornegay (Sandy); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday September 6, 2014, at Park Avenue Baptist Church, Titusville. Inurnment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Francis or Mayo Jacksonville Heart /Lung Transplant Support Group, P.O. Box 43571, Jacksonville, FL 32203.
