Brian Hanson Obituary
Brian Scott Hanson, 52, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012.
Brian was born in Chanute, Kansas, on June 30, 1960 to Nancy and Delmar Hanson. In 1962 the family moved to Cape Canaveral, Florida. It is here that Brian grew up with his younger sister, Laura (Hanson) Ceuninck, until he graduated from Cocoa Beach High School and joined the US Air Force.
In 1984, Brian met Leslie Anne Jones and in 1986 they were married. Their first son, Justin Reid Hanson, was born in 1997 and in 2001 they welcomed Ian Tyler Hanson to their family.
Brian served for ten years in the US Air Force. In 1989, he went to work for Martin Marietta at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It was during this time that he discovered his love of computers and in 1999 he received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Rollins College. In 1999, Brian joined the Florida Solar Energy Center as a software programmer. He worked various positions at the Center during his tenure with them.
Brian is survived by his wife of 25 years, Leslie and their two sons, Justin and Ian. Brian is also survived by his sister, Laura (Brian); his nieces, Kaitlyn and Kristyna; his nephew, Kyle; and his sister- and brother-in-law, Linda Jones and Mart Cook. He will be truly missed by his family and community of friends near and far.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 4:00 p.m., at Newcomer Cremation and Funeral Service, 2400 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL.

Brian was a great guy..Always came into my home (daycare) with a smile for all, the kids, not just his own loved him..always taking time for the other children when he came to pick up his own two amazing son's. Brian was well loved by his family and friends. Brian and Leslie both take the time to care for others, and to teach their children to be caring an respectful individuals and that says alot for the kind of person Brian was. God Bless you all..
