Col (Ret.) Donald W. Revers, 83, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home.

Born in 1929 to Walter and Anna Revers in Ironwood MI. He had one sister, Florance Erickson, Ironwood, MI. He married Mary Frances Fagan, May 5, 1955, in Victoria, TX. He and Mary had four children; Donald Mark Revers, Tina Revers, Cindy Keene, all of Melbourne, FL and Julie Folkening of Iowa Park, TX. He was proud of his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He entered the US Air Force 27 December 1950 as an Airman Basic and Retired as a Colonel in 1981. During his Air Force Career he flew over 100 combat missions in Vietnam in his beloved F-105 Thunderchief. He earned five Distinguished Flying Crosses and a Silver Star. He piloted the EC-135N aircraft used to track the launch and recovery of Apollo and Skylab missions, to include the Apollo XI mission for the first lunar landing.

There will be a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Viera, FL on Thursday, December 27, 2012. The Mass will take place at 10:00. A burial will take place in Victoria, TX at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
