Jodi Goethe, 51 years of age, passed on Saturday, February 9, 2013. The younger of two children, Jodi was born in Hampton, Iowa and moved to Florida in the summer of 1967. Jodi attended Fairglen Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and was a graduate of Titusville High School. As a college graduate, she attended Florida State University and was FSU's #1 fan. In 1984, Jodi and Larry married and continued their life adventure as "Reel Togetherness" fishing partners and best friends until he passed away in May 2011. They are now together again fishing in heaven.

Starting at Brevard Lumber in 1982, Jodi worked along Larry's side and began building a prosperous business with loyal and dedicated employees, which became her extended family. Together they fished on the weekends, won many fishing tournaments and travelled to distant places to pursue their life dreams.

Jodi made it a priority to support the local community throughout her life. She was there to make your day brighter through her humor and infectious laugh. Jodi was a dedicated and loving friend to all those who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Jodi is survived by her brother, Bret Sorensen; and sister-in-law, Brenda of Mims, FL; her nieces, Brittany and Breanna Sorensen; mother-in-law, Camille Goethe of Titusville, FL; her brother-in-law, Bob Goethe and his wife Beverly, of Crystal River, FL; niece, Cami Goethe Smith and her husband Joshua; nephew, Robbie Goethe; and her loving children Junior and Scooter.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, February 14th, at Temple Baptist Church. Calling hours will be 10-11 am at the church. Graveside services will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. FSU colors or attire are encouraged to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPCA or Hospice of St. Francis.
