George Chase Warrington Obituary

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, George Chase Warrington of Miami Lakes, Florida, passed away at home after an extended illness on April 16, 2013, at the age of 93.

George is survived by his wife of 31 years, Judith Lauderbaugh Warrington; son, Dana Spinney Warrington and wife, Leslie and their daughters, Brittany and Charlotte; Brittany's husband, Mark Madonna and their son, Chase Joseph, all of Alexandria, Virginia; son, Dean Richard Warrington and wife, Carolyn, children, Chase, Ryan and Morgan; Ryan's wife, Christina and their son, Carter Chase of Greensboro, NC; son-in-law, Robert Perlongo, widower of George's daughter, Kristine Ann, who passed away in 2008, their daughter, Dawn and their son, Darren and his wife, Leah, all of Atlanta, GA; George's sisters, Carolyn Pettipas of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, Jacqueline Van Gelder of Manchester, New Hampshire and Joan Warrington of Palm Harbor, FL; and George's ever faithful companion, Maltese DimSum. George was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Spinney Warrington in 1981.

Born in Lynn, MA, George served in the Army/Air Force in World War II in the South Pacific, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He later established a successful career in the automotive industry as general manager or controller of automobile dealerships in both Miami and Melbourne, Florida, until his retirement in August of 2011. He was a proud member of the Mount Carmel Masonic Lodge in Saugus, MA and the Eau Gallie Yacht Club in Indian Harbour Beach, FL.

George was devoted to his family, faith, friends and to leading an honorable and exemplary life; a legacy which he has richly passed on to his loving children and grandchildren. George was, and will always be, the light and the center of his devoted family who love and will miss him dearly.
