Fred went to his home with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23rd at Holmes Reginal Hospital, Melbourne, FL. Fred was born on June 16, 1924 in Providence, RI.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1942-1982. He served in WWII and Korea. He worked at Quonset NAS, and Miriam Hospital in RI until he retired to travel between Maine and FL.
He was a member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fireman Club and of the King Soloman Lodge in RI, also the Elks Lodge in York Beach, ME. While living in Florida, he was a Docent at the Honor American Museum and belonged to The Little Rhody Club.
Fred is survived by his wife, Margaret; and his children, Paul, Fred, Carol and Mark.
He will be greatly missed by many grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 3 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church in Melbourne.
