Eston LeRoy Milton, Jr.
Palm Bay, FL
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalms 116:15
Born in Quitman, Georgia, June 21, 1926, Eston LeRoy Milton, Jr. grew up on a farm. As a young man he joined the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii during WWII. Shortly after his honorable discharge in 1946, he met and married the love of his life Rosetta Isom. They celebrated 66 years of marriage the day before his homecoming, September 17, 2013.
LeRoy was always industrious doing whatever it took to provide for his family; from farming, fire fighter at Kennedy Space Center, owner of Babcock Nursery in Palm Bay to postal carrier from which he retired in 1986. After retiring, he and Rosetta pursued one of their hobbies of wood working. He also enjoyed fishing and boating.
His passions were serving Christ and his family. Family gatherings were frequent and fun! He served Christ in his local church as deacon, active in evangelism, and filled many volunteer positions supporting church functions. He was certain of his eternal home with his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ!
He is survived by his wife Rosetta I. Milton, children Phyllis and husband Mike Hendricks, Sandra Riding, Susan and husband David Beal, Mary Knox, Roy Milton and wife Terri, and Lynn and husband Mark London; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, brother Alton Milton and sister Velma Milton Coppage.
LeRoy was preceded to glory by his parents Eston and Nina Milton, his brother Glenn Milton and great grandson George Christian Kaltenschnee, Jr.
His Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, September 20th at LifePoint Church, 1420 Sportsman Lane (also known as Executive Circle), Palm Bay, FL 32905. The viewing is at 12:30pm and service at 1:00pm.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W Central Pkwy, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
