Walker, Norma Lucille Brittain, 76, Merritt Island, FL. Norma departed this earth on 2 October, 2013, enroute to her home in Heaven. Norma was born in Morganton, NC, on 29 April, 1937, to Lester & Edith Brittain. She was one of eight children, and grew up on a farm. She worked for Drexel Furniture in Morganton before moving to Florida. Norma was married on November 3rd 1955 to her High School sweetheart, Wade H. Walker, Jr, and was soon to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary. In 1959 they moved to Florida, first to Cocoa Beach, then Merritt Island in 1961. Norma was an Accts. Mgr., at several banks, including Cocoa Beach State Bank. She worked as Reservation Mgr. at Ramada Inn, Cocoa Beach in the 60's and 70's.

Norma is survived by her husband, Wade; three children, Rodney Walker, of Pt. St. John, Robin Walker Yawn, Merritt Island and Wade H Walker III, Morganton, NC.; five grand children; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Hendren of NC.

The family held private services and were assisted by Island Cremation. Donations in her honor may be made to or Breast Cancer Society.
