Ferdinand J. "Fred" Carlo, 80, passed on Tuesday, October 28, 2013.

Born in New York he was a US Air Force veteran and a retired butcher. Moving to Florida in 1972 from the Bronx he was outgoing and social, living and sacrificing for his family, and reaching out to help others earned him the honorary title of "Town Mayor". He enjoyed fishing and classic cars.

His family includes his wife of 57 years, Gloria Carlo; children, Lucy Alvarez of Palm Bay, Fred Carlo of Palm Bay, John David Carlo of Palm Bay and John Anthony Carlo of Orlando; brother, Santos Carlo; sisters, Mary Panza and Emily Deloach; grandchildren, Corey Alvarez, JD Carlo, Amanda Carlo and Jessica Carlo; and his great grandchildren, Audrey Carlo and Chloe Williams.

Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne.
