Lowell McCoy Cooper
In Loving Memory of Lowell McCoy Cooper who passed away January 16, 2014.
Helping my 94 year old Uncle Lowell for the last two years has changed my life forever.
Born in West Virginia in 1919, he worked many jobs as a young man helping his family endure the depression. At 23, he married the love of his life, Georgia Mae, vowing to take care of her until her death, which occurred after 70 years of marriage. Lowell served in the army in WWII and the Korean War, and then as a civilian with the social security administration. He served as a master mason from the Berlin 46 outpost lodge 895. Retiring to Florida, he resided in Weeki Wachee, serving on the board for the River County community. Here, he pursued his passion of genealogy, making sure our family history would be recorded and not forgotten. Recently, as a resident of the Fountains, he made many friends and enjoyed organizing the bridge activities. Lowell leaves many memories to be cherished by his loving daughter Carol Ann and many nieces and nephews.
I am forever thankful as I was blessed to have time to make his life easier, and assure him his daughter would be loved and taken care of.
No services will be held. Lowell will be interred in Bushnell National Cemetery.
