Shannon Doyle Green

Cocoa, FL

Retired Technical Sergeant, Shannon Doyle Green of Cocoa, FL, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 after suffering a long illness. He is survived by Rhonda Reavis Green, his loving wife of 23 years; two sons, Zachary Doyle Green of Tallahassee, FL, and Logan Hunter Green, also of Cocoa.

Born in Copper Hill, TN, he was the son of Ora Richie Green and the late Carter Green. Shannon served his country in the United States Air Force. He proudly served 20 years in the Missile Maintenance career field. He served almost 11 years at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, MT and the remainder of his career at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL.

Also survived by his sisters, Sonja Pulliam (Michael), and Angie Buyers (Tony)of Dalton, GA; a brother, Vernon Green (Sheila) of Thomaston, GA; sister-in-law, Ann Green, Savannah, GA; mother and father-in-laws, David and Gayle Reavis, sister-in-law, Michelle Reavis; four nieces, Sarah Byers, Ansley Shearouse, Brittany Boyden,and Megan Boyden; four nephews, Jeremy Green, Chris Green (Courtney), Daniel Byers (Tiffany) and Hunter Reavis, and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his gather, Carter Green and brother, Marlon Green.

The family would like to extend a deep appreciation to Wuesthoff Hospice and Pallative Care and to Charn Cardale for the special care given to Shannon in the home. To our special friends, William (Bill) Meilstrep, Arthur Watts and Fred Batnhardt, words are difficult to find to express our gratitude and thanks for all you have given to help us down this long road with Shannon.

We will have visitation at 2 PM and Memorial Service immediately following at 3 PM Saturday, June 21 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Cocoa, FL.
