Victoria Fleming Obituary
Maria Fleming 93, passed away Thursday Feb. 11, 2016. Maria was born in Elizabeth New Jersey where she spent her childhood and high school years. After high school she joined the Navy and became a Naval Bookkeeper serving her country in WWII. After the war she returned to New Jersey where she met and married the love of her life Donald Fleming in 1959 they moved to Cocoa/Beach and together experienced the early days of the space boom. During this time Maria met and served many of the original Astronauts. She was a familiar face serving at many of Cocoa Beach's finest dining establishments creating memories that last a lifetime in the minds of many locals to this day.
Maria was an artist and avid gardener. She was affectionately known for her family values, warm heart and constant humor.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald and son Keith. She is survived by her sons, Eugene Jeffrey and Gerald. Grandchildren Dillon and Dana and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Feb 27 at the Cocoa beach Community Church, Reception following. Donations may be made to MissingKids.com in Maria's name.

My mom owned the Beef 'N Reef in the late 70's and I have fond memories of Maria who was a server (Waitress back then). My mom loved Maria. She was always so nice to me. Sending prayers to the Fleming family. RIP Maria.
