Merritt Island

Dr. Mark Fusco 53, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Elaine, his children, Anna and Nina; his mother, Josephine; his sister, Elena Kemp, her husband Craig and children Sara and Will; his sister Stephanie Teaford and her husband, Chris and children, James, Nick and Matthew. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Fusco.

Mark was a surgeon with Melbourne Internal Medicine Associates and then Health First Medical Group in Melbourne after serving as Surgical Flight Commander at Scott Air Force Base. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Pineda Campus, 5625 Holy Trinity Dr., Melbourne FL on Thursday, May 5 at 6:30pm with visitation beginning at 5:30pm.

I just found out today. I am deeply sorry. Dr. Fusco was a great Doctor. He would take the time to talk to you and explain in details everything about the condition you had or the procedures available. He cured my Barretts around 12 years ago. I know you are in heaven. You are an angel. My condolences to his family.

I am only learning of this news today, a year later. I looked him up to get a current address and this feed pooped up. How very sad to hear of his passing. He was a compassionate, loving, gentle understanding man and a great surgeon. He did my surgery in Sept 2007 before I moved back to my home state and I am forever grateful.
May he rest in peace and condolences to his family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Mark Fusco only briefly as a patient. Even though I saw him only a few times, the manner with which he cared for others and his sincerity in his endeavors touched my heart. I will always remember him fondly. Dr. Fusco will be greatly missed! He saved my life by doing the lapband for me over 8 years ago. I would not be where I am today without him, that is for sure. I know his family and friends will surely be lost without him but just know he is an angel in heaven and without pain now. God Bless you all!

Mark was a great supporter of tennis and the USTA Pro Circuit tournament that started with the MIMA Foundation at Kiwi Tennis Club over 11 years ago.
By coincidence, his father Tony was my first tennis coach in Franklin Lakes, NJ and I had the fortune of meeting Mark years later here in Brevard County.
Mark and his family have had a positive impact on me and many people in the community.
He will surely be missed.

We rarely saw Dr. Fusco on our labor and delivery floor but in the rare times we did he was always very kind and knowledgeable to his patients. On behalf of the labor and
