Romine Clifford Hackworth, 80, of David, husband of Alva Bradley Hackworth, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at his residence.
Born Aug. 15, 1933, in Floyd County, to the late Green and Martha England Hackworth, he was an auto body repairman for Don Jacobs and a member of the Dotson Pentecostal Church, at Open Fork, Middle Creek.
He is survived by a son, David (Marsha) Hackworth, of Prestonsburg; two daughters, Josephine (Ricky) Curtis, of Chatsworth, Ga., and Barbara (Ronnie) Hatfield, of Prestonsburg; a brother, Henry Joe Hackworth; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas Hackworth, Sammy Hackworth, Earl Hackworth, Mary Davis, Lucy Prater, Irene Slone, Josephine Baldridge and Phoebe Hackworth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 25, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Eugene Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the Hackworth Cemetery, at Open Fork, Pyramid.
Visitation will be all day, Thursday, at the funeral home.
