Ercel "Flip" Jarrell

Ercel "Flip" Jarrell, 50, of Prestonsburg, died Tuesday August 6, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born may 21, 1963 in Prestonsburg to the late Woodrow and Janie Crum Jarrell. He worked as a mechanic and was a member of the House of Prayer in Prestonsburg.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-brothers: Ebb Jarrell and Buddy Jarrell and one sister Marie Jarrell.

He is survived by one son: Cody Lee Jarrell of Prestonsburg; two daughters: Lisa "Sissy" Jarrell and Ercella "Sally" Jarrell both of Prestonsburg; three brothers: Woodrow "Woody" Jarrell, Jackie "Possum" Jarrell and Larry "Boss" Jarrell all of Prestonsburg; three sisters: Janie Ann "Shorty" Blanton of Magoffin Co., Crystal "Chrissy" Howell of Prestonsburg, and Linnie McKinnie of Hawaii and one half sister joann goble of Prestonsburg, and six grandchildren: Jazmyn Hall, Lakesha Hall, Morgan Darby, Donovan Pickens, Dawson Pickens, Dalton Pickens and one on the way: Nova.

Funeral services were held Sunday August 11, 2013 at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home with Brent Tackett officiating. Burial followed the service at the Jarrell Family Cemetery in Slick Rock of Prestonsburg.
