Lisa Gay Blankenship, 51, of Grethel, wife of Bernie Cline Blankenship, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at her residence.
Born June 3, 1962, in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Denna and Elizabeth Butcher Rose, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ, in Obley, W.Va.
She is survived by a son, Bernie (Arianna) Blankenship II, of Winchester, Va.; two daughters, Elizabeth (Glen) Akers, of Grethel, and Trina (Donnie) Slone, of Ashland; four brothers, Paul Rose, of Cabin Creek, W.Va., Billy Rose, of Sharon, W.Va., Timmy Rose, of McCaulia, Ala., and Randy Rose, of Eskdale, W.Va.; two daughters, June Maggard, of Dry Branch, W.Va., and Joy Johnson, of Dawes, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Paul Blankenship; two brothers, Sonny Rose and Tony Rose; and a sister, Burma Lee Rose.
Funeral services for Lisa Gay Blankenship will be held at noon, Sunday, Feb. 16, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Bishop Paul Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Cline Blankenship Cemetery, at Teaberry.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, and all day Saturday, Feb. 15, at the funeral home.
