Thelma Lavon Hale, 72, of Martin, widow of Roy Hale, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.
Born June 14, 1941, in Floyd County, to the late James and Edith Meade Campbell, she was a disabled dental assistant and a member of Martin Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Keith (Debbie) Hale and Glenn Hale, both of Martin; a daughter, Sherry Miller, of Crescent Springs; two brothers, Garnard "Slim" Campbell, of Prestonsburg, and James Clinis Campbell, of Indiana; two sisters, Anna Frazier, of Prestonsburg, and Rita Faye Smith, of Allen; and four grandchildren, Kristen Miller, Rachael Miller, Grace Miller and Zack Halbert.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Campbell.
Funeral services for Thelma Lavon Hale will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Johnny Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Cemetery, in Martin.
Visitation will take place at 6 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
