SENECA FALLS - Frank J. Capozzi, 88, of Pleasant St., Seneca Falls, N.Y., died, unexpectedly, on Mon day (April 22, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, N.Y.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Friday (April 26) from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (April 27) at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home and at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor. Burial will follow at St. Columb kille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. The Seneca Falls Honor Guard will conduct military honors for Frank on Friday evening (April 26) at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frank was born in Geneva, N.Y. on March 18, 1925, the son of the late Joseph & Mary Manino Capozzi. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy
Seabees. He had resided in Seneca Falls since 1950 moving from Geneva, N.Y. He was retired from the former Seneca Army Depot of Romulus, N.Y. where he was a supervisor of the air strip warehouse. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, the Sons of Italy, Geneva, N.Y., and the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion of Seneca Falls. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employ ees. He was a huge New York Yankees Fan and in his younger years he was an avid bowler. Frank was able to roll a 300 bowling game and was a member of the 700 Bowling Club. He had hit 700, 26 times in his bowling years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Leone Capozzi whom he married on July 8, 1950; a daughter, Marie Krebbs of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; his twin sons of Frank (Rosemarie) Capozzi Sr. of Seneca Falls, N.Y. and Frederick (Denise) Capozzi of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Robert (Victoria) Krebbs III, Aaron Capozzi, Frank (Paula) Capozzi, & Adam Capozzi; four great- grandchildren, Alyvia & Gabrielle Krebbs, Annabel & Alaina Capozzi; one sister, Carmella Girup of Clifton Springs, N.Y., one brother, John Capozzi, Geneva, N.Y.; his special niece, Nora (Ed) VanKirk of San Diego, Calif., several additional nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by two sisters, Nora Marr & Rose Contini and two brothers, Anthony & Sam Capozzi.
