Dorothy Davis Obituary
Dorothy would like nothing more than a party to celebrate and commemorate her life, therefore, the family is hosting an open house at their home, 4505 Kings Corners Road. They will receive friends from Noon to 6:00pm on Friday, (July 6).
Kindly consider a donation in Dorothy's memory to the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library, PO Box 410, Ovid, NY 14521, which was a cause that Dorothy felt very strongly about supporting.
Dorothy was born on September 17, 1949 in Patterson, N.J., the only child of Joseph and Mae (McLaughlin) Poitras. She graduated from high school in Cranford, N.J. and attended Drew University. Dorothy furthered her education throughout her lifetime, taking courses at local campus' and online. She was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating her time and work to providing the best home possible for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Paul C. Davis and her loving daughter, Olivia (Matthew Snyder) Davis of Croton Falls, N.Y., and a large extended family centered in Bayonne, N.J.

So sorry to see this sad news. I met Dorothy through PTA. Super organizational skills combined with warmth and humor. She took over and enhanced teacher's breakfast morning! Worked beside us at Bookfair and very willingly came to meetings, was just a joy! Welcomed us to your beautiful home...again, sorry for your loss

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful woman I have very fond memories of her from elementary age especially her helping out in the book fair and the Christmas shop we would all go to so we could get Christmas presents for our parents.
