WATERLOO - Barbara J. (Moody) Jones, 78, of Inslee St., died Wednesday (January 26, 2011) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic in Clifton Springs.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 28) at the Doran Funeral Home Inc., 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday (Jan. 29) at the funeral home with the Rev. James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick' s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo.

Barbara was born in Waterloo on July 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Hilda F. Smith Hill. She was retired from the Seneca Falls Central Schools where she was a bus driver for many years. She was a member of the Warner-VanRiper Post #435 American Legion Auxiliary, Waterloo and the Waterloo Sportsman's Club. She was an avid bowler and a member of the bowling 600 club. She was, beyond a doubt, an avid and active Euchre player, playing in venues at the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge, the Ovid V.F.W., the Waterloo American Legion, the Dutchman and the Waterloo Sportsman's Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah (Michael) Kelley of Waterloo; one son, David (Susan) Moody of Seneca Falls; 10 grandchildren: Mary Rose (Richard) Pieters of Newark, Kathleen (Scott) Field of Colorado Springs, Colo., Thomas J. D'Eredita III of Seneca Falls, Shawn (Crystal) Moody of Waterloo, Robert (Kristin) Moody of Waterloo, Sandra (Matt) Clark of Waterloo, Nicole Moody of Seneca Falls, Alissa Moody of Seneca Falls, William Moody of Seneca Falls and Christine Moody of Seneca Falls; three sisters: Hazel (Thomas) Loree of Dansville, Cathy Jolly of Waterloo and Dorothy (Robert) Duby of Angleton, Texas; two step daughters: Patricia (Wayne) Hoad of Waterloo and Marianne VanNostrand of Waterloo; three step sons: William (Pam) Jones of Waterloo, Robert Jones of San Luis, Obispo, Calif. and Richard Jones of Waterloo; nine step grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Moody of Seneca Falls; one sister-in-law, Ellen (Howard) Elwell of Wolcott; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her first husband, Robert W. Moody Sr., who died in 1960; her second husband, Donald W. Jones, who died December 19, 2010; two sons: Robert W. Moody Jr., who died in 1988 and William Moody, who died in 2004; two sisters: Fern Skinner and Elizabeth West; and two brothers: Robert and Albert Hill.
