PENN YAN - Daniel V. Beaver, 87, entered into rest Tuesday (May 7, 2013) at The Homestead in Penn Yan. Family and friends may call on Monday (May 13) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, N.Y. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus.
Danny was born June 6, 1925, in Clarence, N.Y., the son of William and Ruth Beaver. He served in the Navy during World War II, taking part in the D-Day invasion on his 19th birthday. Danny married Genevieve (Chase) on November 2, 1946. Together, they raised three daughters in the Middleport/Gasport area. Danny could fix or build anything. He retired from Ag-Pack Inc. in Gasport. Danny loved gadgets and was never without a Swiss army knife or flashlight. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Genevieve (Chase) Beaver of Penn Yan; three daughters, Linda (Richard) Breeze of Gasport, Marcia Smith of Lockport, Kathy (Salvatore) Liuzzi of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; grandchildren, Shelley Miller, Sherri Free, Daniel (Cindy) Breeze, Shawn (Stephanie) Eadie, George (Marisa) Enzinna and Salvatore (Farrah) Liuzzi; 12 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Carl Beaver and a sister, Betty Russo. Danny was predeceased by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
