GENEVA – Patrick Daniel DiDuro, 88, of William St., passed away on Tuesday (February 5, 2013) in the Living Center South.
Pat always said "everyday is a good day" He always had a smile on his face.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home 181 N. Main St. on Thursday (February 7) from 4 to 7 p.m. Members of Winnek Post # 396 American Legion and VFW post # 2470 will meet at 6 p.m. for a service for their departed brother.
Funeral Services will be at 9 a.m. on Friday (February 8) in the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church. Entombment with full military honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County.
Pat was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of DeSales High School class of 1942. Pat served his country during World War II in the US Army and Air Force where he was an airplane engine specialist. Following the war he and his cousin, Joe started DiDuro's Shoe Service in 1946. He was a member of Winnek Post # 396 American Legion, VFW Post #2670 and Our Lady of Peace Parish. Pat was a past president of the Downtown Geneva Business Association.
The family would like to thank all his friends and neighbors who greeted him as he took his daily rides on his scooter.
He is survived by his four children, Lorraine (Richard) Felber, Daniel (Carolyn) DiDuro, Patrick (Jan) DiDuro, and JoAnn (Keith) Howard; his grandchildren, Richard (Jamie Reichert) Felber, Jamie Lynn Felber, Erin (Ryan) Neward, Emily, Trevor and Meredith DiDuro, Owen and Claire Howard and great-grandsons, Wesley Neward and Jacob Trickler; his brother, Bernard (Janice) DiDuro of Fla.; special cousins, Mario and Ida DiDuro; and special friends, Todd Taylor, Bill Hickey, and Nick Marchenese.
He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Rosemary (Galusha) DiDuro; his sisters, Phil Benedetti and Anna Marie Glieco; and his brother, Anthony DiDuro; and his grandson, Jared DiDuro.
