Raymond Dunham Jr. was called to his heavenly home on January 11, 2014 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Leavenworth, KS.
He lived a vibrant full life to the age of 79 years old. Raymond was born on October 14, 1934 in Syracuse, N.Y. to the union of Raymond Dunham Sr. and Charlotte Van Alstyne Dunham. He was the third of seven children: Joyce Dixon, Barbara Ann Dunham, Bruce Dunham, Zelmeta Thompson, Elyce Renee Washington , and Gayle Coleman (Jay). Raymond graduated in 1952 from Phelps Central School, Phelps, NY. He served in the Army for over 22 honorable years, receiving two Bronze Star Medals and the Vietnam Civil Action Medal among various honors. He was a member of the Masonic fraternal order and retired from the Leavenworth Police Department after 19 years of service. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved life. He was a musician, an avid golfer, and fisherman.
Raymond will be greeted in heaven by his son Keith Dunham .
He has left behind to celebrate his life his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn Kelly Dunham; daughter Crissandra Dunham; grandchildren Alicia Harvey (Donald), Kansas City, Mo; Calisha Durham (Adam), Arlington, Texas; Marcus Dunham (Melinda), Beaumont, Texas, and Kristopher Dunham, Arlington, Texas, and great-grandchildren Lisa Dawn Harvey, Donald Keith Harvey, Ariyanna Durham and Naomi Grace Dunham. Raymond also leaves many nieces nephews, cousins, special friends and sister and brother in love, Inez and Johnnie Givens.
