CLIFTON SPRINGS - Arawana Graves, 89, formerly of the Spa Apartments, passed away on Saturday (September 11, 2010) at Newark Manor Nursing Home.
The Guest Book is expired.
There will be no prior calling hours. Graveside services will be private in Resthaven Cemetery, Phelps.
Friends may contribute to the Clifton Springs Fire Dept. in Arawana's memory.
Arawana was born March 7, 1921, in Utah. She was a member of the Finger Lakes HBPA. Together with her late husband, Parker Graves, she ran Graves Farm on Route 96 in Phelps and was a pioneer in breeding racehorses.
Arawana is survived by her nephews, Tim Bird of Wellington, Nev. and Mike Bird of Tonopah, Nev.; and niece, Judy Kruger of Las Vegas, Nev.
She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Parker Graves in 1999.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eacker Funeral Home, Phelps.
