PALMYRA - Carl Joseph Suhr Jr. "Joe", 72, died on Sunday (November 20, 2011).
Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, (November 25th) at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday (November 26th). Burial with military honors will follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Joe was born on June 28, 1939, in Clifton Springs, to Carl and Susan Fox Suhr Sr. He and the former Carol Catchman were married on October 26, 1963, in the Palmyra United Methodist Church. Joe was a life member of the Palmyra Fire Dept. And a medic for 35 years. He coached Vince Lombardi Football for 15 years and was a coach with Newark Reds Softball team for 5 years. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of Joe's service to our country.
Joe is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Jodi (David) Arbogast; son Carl J. (Ginger) Suhr III; sister Debbie (Bill Colburn) Suhr Rothfuss; brother Bruce (Gloria) Suhr; sister-in-law Bonnie Burgess; grandchildren Sarah Arbogast, Carl Suhr IV and Breanna Lea Suhr, loving aunt Dorothy Boardman and many loving nieces, nephews cousins and extended family members.
