LYONS - Della E. Carr, 81, of Travell Rd., passed away Wednesday (March 27, 2013) at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons. Mrs. Carr is marveling at being in the presence of her Heavenly Father and awaiting the day for those she left behind.

Family and friends may call Friday (Mar. 29) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps ST., Lyons, where a funeral service will be held Saturday (Mar. 30) at 11 a.m. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.

Della was born November 21, 1931 in Mesina, N.Y., a daughter to the late Arthur and Irene Barton Reynolds. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Della sewed, canned, talked to everyone, and was a very active member of the Lyons Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. In her retirement years, she loved to travel, shop, and kept a sense of humor.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 64 years, Stanley P. Carr Sr.; five children, Mrs. Della (Paul) Gardner of Texas, Stanley Jr. (Sandra) of Ariz., Mrs. Deborah (Richard) Carr-Warner of Farmington, Scott (Barb) of North Rose and Gary (Dea) of Elmira Heights; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Patsey Lee (Milton) Dickson of Penn Yan; two brothers, Carl (Melody) Reynolds of Romulus and Floyd Reynolds of W. Va.; and a very dear and special sister-in-law, Alzina Norsen of Newark, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Reynolds.
