MEDINA, N.Y. - Gerald R. "Gerry" Flick, 66 of Medina, N.Y., passed away suddenly on Sunday (January 22, 2012) at his home.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday (January 27, 2012) at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina from 2-3 PM with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Noell officiating with Military Honors being accorded after service.
Born on February 6, 1945, in Geneva, N.Y., he was the son of the late Clifford A. and Lois (Stedman) Flick. Gerry grew up in Interlaken/Geneva area. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, sailing on the USS Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War and serving as a Seabee. On returning home, he worked for over 30 years for the New York State Canal Authority. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, computers and anything to do with airplanes.
Gerry is survived by his siblings: Barbara (Richard) Mearns of Dothan, Ala., Alice Case of Middleport, Fred Flick of Elmira, Tom (Dianne) Flick of Knowlesville, Mary Dona of Medina and several nieces, nephews and good friends.
