PENN YAN - Grover E. Bogart, 73, passed away Wednesday, June 12th, 2013 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday (June 17) at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel where his funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Rusbuldt officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Cemetery.
Grover was born in Montour Falls, N.Y. on May 26th, 1940. He worked for 34 years at Yates County Highway Department, where he worked as a heavy machine operator then was head of the sign department.
Grover is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene C. Walton Bogart; his children, Christine (Tom) Muller of Bluff Point, Gerald (Phyllis) Bogart of Penn Yan, Angela (Alan) Jensen of Branchport, and Phoebe Bogart of Penn Yan; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one nephew and one niece.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred Palmatier, his step father, Charles Palmatier, his brothers, Charles Bogart and Lewis Palmatier, and his grandson, Austin Jensen.
